If the price of oil rises around the world, what will happen to oil production in Texas? Explain your answer.?

There will be justification for increase exploration in the Gulf of mexico and also justification for pumping water pressure into old wells to get remaining oil. Both areas we not previously heavily used but because prices are getting so high, it's worth the investmentIf the price of oil rises around the world, what will happen to oil production in Texas? The oil in Texas is from older fields that are more depleted and more expensive to drill. As the price goes up it becomes more profitable to drill those fields, so more drilling happens. If the price of oil rises around the world, what will happen to oil production in Texas? Explain your answer.?
when the oil price will rise then humans will try to use other source of energy more like solar energy. oil production in Texas will continues in the same rate if the government doesn't want to increase it's rate of production to meet the demand. i think government will not do such thing because supply of oil is limited by increasing it's production it will not help. in business sense government will not increase the rate of production by doing so it will make more profit.
Well, economically speaking, if price goes up, then supplies go up, thus production will go up.

However, as a previous answerer said that the wells are ';dry'; and need to be stimulated to pump more is moderately true. Texas has over 350,000 oil wells, and even at the reduced production of 5 to 10 barrels of oil per day, we are still talking 3.5 million barrels of oil per day. Also, it is estimated that Texas still has 129 billion barrels of oil still in the ground.

Almost all of the national reserve oil tanks, and probably the most coastline able to be used in the exploration of the Gulf of Mexico. Also, it is directly connected Mexico, Central, and South America making it an important area for the importation and refining of oil.

However, to go back to the question, as much as we would like to pump all the oil we can out of the ground and bleed it dry, it still, technically, is cheaper to buy oil from other countries. Thus, we do not spend (as much) money on new wells or exploration or rejuvenation of old well, nor do we want to use our domestic supplies while there is still so much available elsewhere for cheaper.

But if the price goes up too much, then we will be sure to see increases in oil well exploration and production coming from Texas.
that scares me!

thats difficult to answer being young......

if the prices go to like $3 then it could cost up to $60 which isnt very good=[
i think we should convert to solar powered cars, especially in the south!!
