What is the official Republican party solution to high oil prices?

Seriously.. What is the official party line? What is the official Republican party solution to high oil prices?
Drill now, conserve now, and research now. Notice the Republicans are not waiting on anything except the democrats. What is the official Republican party solution to high oil prices?
Yes. Good Question----

1. Drill. Drill. Drill.

2. Build Refineries.

3. Build Nuclear Power Plants.

4. ******Search for Alternative Energy.

Both the Republican Party %26amp; the Democrat Party are now pulling the ALTERNATIVE ENERGY HOAX on America.

Alternative Energy is a Scam.

WATCH %26amp; SEE!!!!!
Don't Drill Demorats Don't Care How High Prices Get.

Because demand for oil isn't going to drop due to growth around the globe, the only way to bring the cost of a gallon of gas at the pump down is to increase the supply of oil. The only way to increase the supply of oil for the present is to explore for more oil and then bring it to market. That means drilling.

In the U.S. that means drilling on the outer continental shelf, more than 50 miles from the nearest coastline.

John McCain favors allowing states to do just that. Obama, Pelosi and Reid oppose it. To get the exploration underway a federal ban on such off shore drilling must be lifted, but House Democrats have blocked that move, most recently this very month. They and their presidential candidate would rather see your wallet bleed and American growth deteriorate than cross their political allies and contributors in the environmental movement. House Republicans should offer a new amendment lifting the ban on outer continental shBecause demand for oil isn't going to drop due to growth around the globe, the only way to bring the cost of a gallon of gas at the pump down is to increase the supply of oil. They do not care about the impact on the average American family. If the price of gas hit $6.00 a gallon. Democrats would still oppose it.
Let us tap into the energy resources we have, get government out of the way.

Stop the ethanol idiocy.

Stop environmental stupidity from hindering the building of more refineries, power plants, and even alternate energy generation (No more Ted Kennedy nixing wind-farms because they might ruin his view, no more years-long delays do do studies for solar arrays in the desert, etc.).

Strengthen the sagging dollar - the Fed has to tighten money.

I don't know if this is the party line - it's the only intelligent solution, though.
The Republican party as a whole doesn't have a solid foundation for energy independence. They have bought in to so many enviromental policies that are counter productive to truely lowering gas prices. Not unlike their liberal counterparts. The conservative position is one founded on basic supply and demand ergo the greater the supply the lower prices. So what that intails is increasing domestic production and dictating our own energy future.

Taxing and regulating big oil will never solve any problems all it accomplishes is demonizing big oil and political posturing.

We need to be lifting as many restrictions on these people as we can not standing in their way.

Just remember taxes only serve to make things more expensive....... corporations don't pay taxes they pass them down to their customers...meaning you and me pay them !
There really can't be one, because high oil prices don't really exist. The increased dollar amount that a barrel of oil costs is just a result of the actual problem, which is a weakened economy. The only reason Americans think oil prices are going up (significantly) is that oil is priced in US dollars, not in a foreign currency.
To keep using oil, even if it means drill in your backyard.

Also, even though the oil companies record setting (billion every two day) profits is created by breaking the back of our economy and the middle class....under no circumstances should we look to taxing that as a source to pay for the transition to oil independence.

In fact, in no way should we look to oil independence. If a technology that replaces oil is less than 15 years away, then de-fund research, legislate against, cause confusion and let the oil companies buy up the patents to make it disappear.

To sum it up....the Republican's goal is to maximize big oil profits, at any cost to the American consumer's wallet and security.
i don't know, but im a registered republican (which im not proud of at all) although i don't consider myself one because i am much more conservative, than the ';mccain republicans';, and i believe that michael savage's solution would be great. he says that for every illegal immigrant in our country we should charge mexico one barrell of oil. considering that there are over 20 million illegal immigrants in the u.s. imagine the effect that could have. then we could afford to stop buying oil from the middle east, which in turn would result in them lowering their prices, because without oil they have nothing else.
It should be drill here (U.S.) and drill now, build more refineries and get our dependence off of a bunch of desert extortionists (OPEC), while we seek better solutions to alternative energy.

But the sad truth is opinions are just as varied inside the party as they are in American People.
I don't think the party has a liine but the most immediate affect would be to put on line 1/3 of the US reserves which inturn would kill the oil market futures specualtors and prices would drop dramatically!
Drill for oil in Alaska Gulf of Mex. Etc. plus they also belive in Alt. Fuels contrary to popular belif (I am trying to make this as un-biased as possible)

Good question ~~~
Drill more... more oil on the market means lower prices.

Drill more... send the message that America is not going to be a slave to Opec

Drill more... end dependence on foreign oil
High oil prices ARE the Republican solution, because they bring about huge oil profits for their corporate buddies.
It doesn't matter, as the democrats in Congress would just oppose any solution out of spite.
Like the Democrats they have none. Both parties have done nothing about our dependence on Mid-Eastern oil for 35 years. Peace
Drill...Drill...Drill...
ha ! this can't be a serious question . Oil runs the republican party
Increase supply
Increase supply.

Which, if you have ever studied economics you would know... is about the best idea there is short term!
It's Drill, Drill, Drill!! Just not on my coastline.
Go to Saudi Arabia and kiss lots of shiek butt
i believe its drilling for more oil
drilling on the American coast
Try and get the libs out they are the ones calling all of this not the repubs
Let the market fix it.
This is one I agree with too, drill in America no matter what democrats say.
Rep say drill for our oil%26gt; Dems say go with out%26gt;
Drill pal, drill...we need too. and why do you want to know?
to ruin more the the enviornment in the US by digging it up for oil so the rich oil tycoons that run the party can make more money
There isn't one. Bush and Chenney (I know I spelled that wrong) are making money off high oil prices. They're making no effort to find a solution.
raise taxes
