What is the official Democratic party solution to high oil prices?

Seriously.. What are they proposing? What is the official Democratic party solution to high oil prices?
Since they refuse to drill.....

Since they refuse to support nuclear power....

Since they refuse a ';war for oil';.....

and since Al Gore's power use has INCREASED since getting that worthless Nobel Peace Prize....

... I think it is safe to say they have NO SOLUTION other than to scream and holler that their mindless minions blame the republicans without realizing the Dems have NO answers. What is the official Democratic party solution to high oil prices?
Since we do not have a nationalized oil industry in the US there is really very little either political party can do. Some pressure can be applied in the way of possible new taxes, some incentives can be given for progress towards alternatives fuels and power sources. Oil prices are set on an international market which at one time used the US dollar as the standard. That has changed as more and more countries in oil markets are using the euro because of the weakening dollar.
As a whole they have none. But to give credit, where credit is due I like the link smash mouth gave. We all need to take a look at it.

If Congressman Nick Rahall does indeed have a bill in place and it is requiring Oil companies to drill on land already leased, then that is good. The oil companies have been allowed to lease pubic lands for the purpose of drilling or searching for oil, and have not done so. In this instance I will agree with Rahall, no drilling, should null and void the lease. They don't need new leases, they just need to use what they already have.
The official Dem solution is to increase the speed of the transition from fossil fuels to alternate fuels by taxing the oil companies and funding research for alternate fuels. This will help the problem in about 20 to 30 years. Until then, the Dem policy is to say ';screw you'; to the American citizen.
Neither the Republicans or the Democrats are offering any solution. The only thing we can do is decrease demand and eventually stop our use of oil. With all the brilliant minds in the world you'd think that someone, somewhere would have a solution to this. Of course all of our most brilliant minds are trying to develop weapons to kill more people.

Let's go back to the horse and buggies and the barter system! who's with me?
Well, according to VoteSmart.org, the Democrats have not presented a single bill on either floor... However, the Republicans have presented more than a dozen, all have been blocked by the Democratic leadership!

My thought is... once Obama is elected, very swift action will be taken. This is all about who gets the credit, not helping us!
puttin Controls on those criminals who are profiteering in war time ( including the bushes and their suadi masters ) Supply and demand my *** exxons profits are up 400%

Also serious plans to use alternatives like sugar ethanol, hydrogen rather then just make noise like gonzo and his bf mcCain
There answer is sit down and shut up Obama said we can solve 70% of the problem by 2030 just wait and see, we don't need to drill at all Obama will invent a flying carpet that runs on air like a kite.
I'm no Democrat but I'm for shooting Oil Executives until they stop behaving like a monopoly and start competing.
Vilify the oil companies and install a ';Windfall Tax'; on oil company profits. Then blame everyone else for their failed policies
lower demand

and the republicans ??
